What Causes Pain In The Left Hand And Wrist In An Elderly Person?
My mother is 93, on oxygen. This evening she is complaining of very very severe left hand and wrist pain. She belives she might be having a heart attack although she has no chest pain, shoulder pain. She asked for a tramadol. I gave it to her. I also warmed her heating pads and placed them on her wrist and hand. Her husband of 69 years (and my father) passed one month ago. She has not cried or grieved. I am completely confused and unsure of what to do. Please, any suggestion will be appreciated. Forget it, I do not have a credit card...I thought this was a help site not a pay site. there was no mention of payment untill now...this is a scam you should be ashamed.

What Causes Pain In The Left Hand And Wrist In An Elderly Person?
Hello, As a first line management you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief. If symptoms persists better to consult an orthopedician and get evaluated. We have to rule out possible causes like arthritis and carpal tunnel syndrome. Detailed evaluation is required including an MRI scan. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
