Hi, I have a pain in my left leg that began in my shin, seemed to migrate to my calf and now seems to be on outer side of my thigh. It is dull and is worsened by walking, I haven t done anything that I know of to my leg. I am on diltiazem for arrhythmia, ablation in 2012. Was wondering if I should have it checked out immediately or should wait to see primary care doctor. Never mind. I must have missed the part about paying
Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. I understand your concerns.
These symptoms are indicating circulatory problems in legs which may be of venous or arterial origin. Venous thrombosis goe with swollen legs and pain in calf, but this is more likely to be atherosclerosis that obstructs blood vessels and causes this pain. If there is no paleness ald lack of pulsations and colndess then this is not an emergency. You should do Doppler ultrasound of the leg or CT angiography to rule out some obstructive changes and then it can be treated properly by medications or by surgical and radiological procedures. You should continue with other medications and avoid long laying or sitting. I hope I have answered your query. Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
