What Causes Pain In The Left Shoulder While Breathing?
This afternoon I started having pain in the back of my left shoulder and slightly down my arm. when I breathe deep the pain gets sharp. I put myself in bed with a few pillows behind my back. I took a panadol rapid dissolved in a glass of water and rubbed Deep Heat in my shoulder and lower back. The pain eased from my arm and is now in the back of my shoulder. And I feel it mainly when I breathe deep. Otherwise I m ok. I do suffer from accidity in my stomach and have a Nexuim 40 mg daily. Is there anything else I would need to do?
Pain around left shoulder blade and arm may be caused by few diseases like acidity, cardiac disease, nerve irritation due to compression, pleurisy and abdominal causes. If you have diabetes or hypertension, I would recommend you to consult your general practitioner (GP) for correct diagnosis.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Vaddadi Suresh
