General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Pain in the center of the back on pressure can be due to simple osteoporosis, joint swelling of spinal joint at the site or thoracic or lumber spondylosis. Please get an X-ray of the region and blood calcium / vitamin checked to define it, followed by specific treatment by orthopedic surgeon.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
