Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am having pain on the left side of my chest. It s midway between my breast an shoulder. majority of my discomfort is my chest with discomfort in my shoulder with a little in my bicep. When I rotate my left shoulder I can feel it in my shoulder blade.
The possibility of musculoskeletal pain is more likely. But better to get done ECG and 2d echo to rule out heart-related pain. If both these are normal then no need to worry about heart disease.
Take simple painkillers like paracetamol or Ibuprofen. Apply warm water pad on affected areas.
Avoid movements causing pain. Avoid heavy weight lifting and strenuous exercise. Don't worry, you will be alright with all these but first rule out heart diseases.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Kaushal Bhavsar, Pulmonologist
