Hi, am Murthy My father suddenly got pain near the left side of chest. Immediately visited near by hospital and doctor checked BP and it was 250/150 and given some injections immediately and get relief and he suggested to get a treatment from big hospital which is related to cardiologist. Admitted in cardiac speciality hospital and did all necessary blood tests and ECG. Doctor suspected there is a problem in ECG report and informed to stay 10 days in observation to take Angiogram. sofar total 3 ECG reports taken with in 2 days and confirmed that there is some minute problem there. Here my question is why the doctor suggested to wait for 7 to 10 days in observation to proceed or go ahead with Angiogram test though he knows the problem in ECG.
After going through your query I understand your concern.
I would like to tell you that there are many things that to be considered before going for an angiogram like sepsis, kidneyinjury , vital stability etc. If any of these is not stable then you need to wait for further procedure until unless there is an emergency.
You can personally ask your treating cardiologist regarding this.
Hope to have been helpful.
Kind Regards Dr. Navneet Bansal
