Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
chest pain to my left of sternum 3 days have had prior skeletal issues with ribs and sternum causing chest pain. 2 stress tests last one 8 years ago did very well as been hockey player and in shape. Retired 1.5 years with very little exercise. Drink alcohol and smoke occasionally--few times a month. No pain in left arm or jaw.
Looking at your case most likely it seems costo-chondritis or muscle sprain as no other symptoms with this.Get done chest x-ray and EKG to rule out chest and cardiac cause. Have some analgesic and anti-inflammatory orally and topical application of analgesics.
