Hello,
Thank you for your query. I understand your concerns.
From what you have written, withdrawal of baby
aspirin is unlikely to contribute to your leg pain. Baby aspirin dose is around 75 mg. This is a small dose and is useful to prevent blood clots; it does not help with pain relief. If you want pain relief with aspirin, the dose should be around 300 mg.
So, the pain that you are experiencing in your legs is unlikely due to withdrawal of such a small dose of aspirin.
Your leg pains could be due to knee and ankle
joint pains, muscle pains due to a current subclinical infection ( e.g. a viral infection), muscle pains due to
tiredness or due to Vitamin D deficiency or due to any drugsthat have been started recently (for e.g. statins). Being
overweight also would cause pain in the legs.
I am not sure what other medications that you take. You could benefit from a short course of NSAIDS like ibuprofen/
naproxen provided you are not allergic to them and that you do not have kidney problems or
gastritis. Kindly consult a doctor first, so that he can first assess you thoroughly to find out the cause of your muscle pains. He will also make sure that you do not have any contraindications to taking NSAIDS and that there are no other drug interactions.
In the meanwhile you can take
Paracetamol 500-1000 mg 2-3 times/day for pain relief (provided you are not allergic to it and do not have any liver problems).
i wish you good health.
I hope this answer has been helpful to you.
