Hello, To be honest your question is a bit confusing. If you have a slipped disc in L4 and L5 then it cannot be on the neck. It is a lower back disc slip. If L4, L5 disc slip has been diagnosed then its quite common to get leg pain. The underlying mechanism of pain irrespective of the vertebral column level is that generally nerves pass through spaces between two adjacent vertebral column. There are also cartilages between two vertebral bones that act as cushions. When there is a disc slip then there are chances that these cartilages called as intervertebral discs compress or pinch on the nerves passing in the gap. This in turn causes constant pain. If L4,L5 are involved it can have this pinching effect on the sciatic as well as other nerves which supply the lower extremity. The treatment generally involves a combination of sports or physiotherapy, pain killers and surgery at times.
