What Causes Pain In The Legs While Suffering From Diabetes?

I am a 46 year old woman with Diabetes and lately in the past week or so have been experiencing really sore muscles in my legs and have been super tired to the point that I need a nap when I get home from work and am having no problems going to bed again for the night around 10pm. do you think I should be worried about anything?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Pain in the legs and soreness in muscles in a person having diabetes could be symptoms related to peripheral neuropathy.
Kindly get your fasting glucose, post-prandial glucose, glycated hemoglobin and urine microalbumin levels tested and consult Physician or Diabetologist for clinical evaluation and appropriate management.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
Regards,
Dr.Ashakiran.S.,
