What Causes Pain In The Lower Abdomen And Discharge From The Navel?
I was rear ended yesterday in my car. I m a little whiplashed but today my lower abdomen is sore and a little tender to the touch. I went to the bathroom and noticed I had a discharge from my belly button. I ve never had that happen before. Not sure if the two are related or if something else is going on. I had an appendectomy back in 2002 so I know my pain is not from the appendix but it is in the same region that I had my pain before I had the appendix removed.

Since you have a history of Appendectomy done & you are having pain & navel discharge, you should contact & inform your surgeon.
You need follow-up treatment(for any internal infection), neglect may result in complications like sore abdominal muscles, redness/ tenderness in the navel area, fever or difficulty in urinating.
If you are a diabetic, control the blood sugar level, keep the belly button clean & dry, avoid picking/scratching, avoid piercing & wearing any jewellery, wear cotton clothes. Get physically examined, get evaluated & treated at the earliest.
