What Causes Pain In The Lower Abdomen And Discomfort During Urination?

I m having pain in my lower abdomen on both my left and right sides. It has been steady for over 12 hrs, but is more painful on my right side which flows to the right side of my back. It is uncomfortable to urinate & pass bowel movements, but I am still able to accomplish both.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

It could be a renal or ureteric stone or calculus.
Consult a urologist and get evaluated.
An ultrasound abdomen is required for further assessment. Drink plenty of water.
As of now you can take drugs like cyclopam for pain relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
