What Causes Pain In The Lower Abdomen On The Right Side?

I have had some cramping and bloating in my lower right abdomen for around five days that has started to go away, but is still lingering there. I don t have any loss of appetite. Been eating normally and regularly. I haven t had any diarrhea worth mentioning other than once, which was standard for me after coffee and rich foods. It was painful push on at the exact location and just a little bit around it, which I attributed to the gas buildup since I felt like and continue to feel like it would all go away with one, big passing of gas. Stretching to the left brings a little pain, which made me think I strained an oblique or ab muscle. However, the bloating and cramping won t go away. I have a normal temp of around 97.7-98 and tonight I have it at 98.8, which is essentially normal. I have not vomited or had pain around my naval at all. Like I said, I am eating and drinking the same fluids regularly. Maybe it is IBS? But would a temp go from an average of 97.7-98 to 98.8 (slightly higher) with IBS? As I mentioned, I feel like one, big passing of gas would completely eliminate the bloating and gas noises in my stomach. Any input would be great. Thanks.

Hi,

Pain in the lower abdomen can be due to various reasons like:
- Stones in the gallbladder.
- Infection of the appendix.
- Kidney stones.

You are advised to have a general health checkup to identify a particular cause of the problem.
