What Causes Pain In The Lower Abdomen?
My 8 year old daughter has been having lower back pain and lower tummy pain off and on since last night. More on left side . Sometimes it s a shooting pain from back to tummy. No other symptoms. Motrin does not seem to relieve the pain. YYYY@YYYY

Thanks for the Question . Majority of Back pain in Children are due to soft tissue damage such as ligaments tendons and muscles because of over use or Strain.
if the back pain is severe and having diffuculty in functioning Back surgery may be considered.
But it is rarely Required.
Infection Fracture Tumor have to be ruled out before starting Therapy for Back pain in children and teens. You have to consult an Ortho Doc
