What Causes Pain In The Lower Abdomen?

My husband and I (aged 65 & 70) are experiencing lower abdominal pain that comes and goes in waves, similar to labor pains. Low fever (100-101F) and head aches. These symptoms have been off and on do about two weeks. Pain and pressure in lower abdomen relieved by a Owen movement, but returns in a few hours. Neither of us he’s enough energy to attend to daily housekeeping chores. I do have heart disease. And I’m currently undergoing pulmonary testing for chronic shortness of breath. My husband has no chronic heath issues. He is normally in very good health for a 70 year old man. WHAT IS THIS CURRENT AILEMENT that has both of down? I’m thinking some sort of stomach flu. Right or wrong how do we ge relief
