Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
It is since last year that I experience lower abdomen pains. I had twice transviginal ultrasound. I still experience pain inside my lower abdomen and I experienced also frequent urination last week, although she had given me pain relievers and antibiotics. The obstetrician advised me to have RASPAor dilation & curettage. The finding is I have slight thickening of endometrium? Do I have to worry about it? Is it cancerous? I mean the thickening...
I have reviewed your query and here are my thoughts. Since the Gynecologist has seen you, trans-vaginal ultrasound shows thickening and already advised RASPA or dilatation and curettage, it is necessary to undergo these to get an appropriate answer whether the thickening is due to cancer or so. Histopathology of the removed endometrium can tell us the exact diagnosis and thus allowing specific management. Lower abdominal pain and frequent urination can be due to UTI that is urinary tract infection. Needs tests of urine for routine, microscopy, culture and sensitivity. This will give an additional diagnosis and a chance to get an appropriate management. Take plenty of oral fluids.
I hope this answer helps you.
