What Causes Pain In The Lower Back After An Injury?

Hi, I fell on wooden steps this morning and landed hard on my ilia and ischium, more so than my back - but I certainly felt the reverberation through my low back too. It hurt very badly for about 10 minutes and I ve been very sore ever since (it s 7 hours later). I can walk, bend over, and I can also sit on a comfy chair. But the bones are really tender. Just bruised? Is it necessary to go to a doc? Thanks.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
auma... Hi,
Thanks for the query. I understand your concern.
Pain you have can be managed by over the counter anti inflammatory pill like Ibuprofen 400 mg twice a day along with calcium to help bones.. in case it's simple bruising that should suffice.
Still An X ray of the part is a must to exclude any crack or fracture.. which may not cause symptom immediately after the trauma..
So I would advise for consultation of a doctor for X ray & his advise as per need.
Thanks
