Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Pain In The Lower Back After Hemorrhoidectomy?
I am in my 5th day after hemorrhoidectomy. 73 yrs old male. Following post-op instructions etc. Unfortunately sitting/lying in bed, lack of exercise caused lower back pain that increases the original postoperative inconvenience. Are the two conditions connected? Thank you.
If the procedure of hemorrhoidectomy was done under spinal anesthesia, backache can be related otherwise not. Heating pad application, postural adjustments with analgesic tablets will ease the issue straight away.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Purva Patel, General & Family Physician
