General & Family Physician, Dr. Alma Neço's Response
Hello dear, Thank you for writing. In my opinion, your history and complaints are suggestive of a muscular injury. In such cases, I suggest my patients to rest, and take Ibuprofene regularly for 3-4 days. Tiocholchicoside capsules (found as Muscoflex, Muscoril) help the situation by calming muscular spasms. If the pain persists, I would suggest to visit a neurosurgeon, who might clinically evaluate the possibility of a lumbar disc herniation, and also prescribe an MRI examination. I hope this helped. For further questions do not hesitate to ask. All the best, Dr. Alma
