What Causes Pain In The Lower Back And Abdomen?

I have been feeling unwell for around 6 weeks. Started off with a bad cough which lasted for 3 weeks. That gone I thought I was ok so went to the gym and didnt overdo it. I felt my right lower back twinge...next day I couldnt walk, had quick acupuncture to relieve spasms and pain and had CT Scan ..found nothing, but was diagnosed with torn buttock muscle. That is ok but now still have lower back pain and lower abnominal pain (like light menstrual pain ... I m 66). I just dont feel right ... am very tired .... and the discomfort is getting me down.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

The pain in the lower abdomen seems intestine colic related to either constipation or else.

The lower back ache sounds to be spondylosis related, nerve compression or other cause need MRI lower back for the further evaluation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel,
General Surgeon
