Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Pain In The Lower Back On The Right Side?
Lower right side back pain. Lower right side pain near groin area facing my body. Pain is on same side front and back. Also fairly confident I have an enlarged prostrate as I urinate frequently. 53 year old white male. Have not lifted anything heavy to cause the problem.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
It might be because of cord bulges that press the nerve root causing pain. Mostly, S1 and S2 regions are involved. So what you do is do proper exercises to reduce it. Also, take multivitamins and calcium, and vitamin D supplements.
If pain persists do dorsal lumber spine MRI to rule out any cord pathology.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Ruby
