What Causes Pain In The Lower Back Pain On The Left Side?
My husband is having lower back pain on his lower left side. He believes he strained it awhile back bending over while tying steel rebar. A week or 2 later he walked off in to a hole and landed on his feet.since these incidents his back hurts when he is in a certain position.
By what you explain, the location of the pain and the incidents that your husband had, very likely the pain in his back is due to a muscular strain. Pain from muscular strain is worse on certain movements and most of the times the patient can identify an incident when he hurt his back muscles. To help with the pain he needs to take some ibuprofen and paracetamol, use local warm compresses and try to be active (daily activities), he should avoid bed rest as it is found to make it worse. Some exercises by a physiotherapist can help even more. If he is not better in 1-2 weeks or he notices any worsening he will need to see a doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
