What Causes Pain In The Lower Back When Diagnosed With A UTI?
Friday I was diagnosed with a UTI. Since then I have been experiencing severe pain in my lower back right side, small triggers of pain on the left lower back, abdominal cramping. No position is comfortable. I was given 500 mg keflex. I believe this maybe more than just a UTI and that it is possibly a kidney stone. Just wondering if this sounds correct and will the keflex work for both? I have never experienced kidney stones. Thank you
This type of pain surely accounts for UTI but we cannot rule out colic pain by a renal stone which almost have same symptoms. The best way to confirm is to go for an Ultrasonography at earliest. It shall confirm the diagnosis. If a stone is there you need to take few more medicines which shall help in disintegration and flushing out the stone of smaller size.
Hope that helps
Thanks
