Hello, my name is Dr.Dorina Gurabardhi. I understand your concern. There are many reasons that cause back pain : -injury -arthritis -osteoporosis -strain muscles etc Some advices that I can give to you are: -Ice is best in the first 24 to 48 hours. After 48 hours, you can switch to heat if you prefer. Whether you use heat or ice -- take it off after about 20 minutes to give your skin a rest. -Keep doing your daily activities. - work the muscles that support your lower back, including the back extensor muscles -Stretch. Don't sit slumped in your desk chair all day. Get up every 20 minutes or so and stretch the other way. -Watch your posture -don't smoke -watch your weight -try pain relievers such as acetaminophen or ibuprofen. Hope my answer was helpful, if you have any other questions I'll be glad to help, thanks!
