What Causes Pain In The Lower Neck?

Respected sir, I m a 20 year old boy.i ve smoked 5-6 cigarette per day on an average for 3 years. Recently my neck has started hurting all day long, there is an acute pain in the lower portion of my neck. The pain is not on a specific spot but I can feel when I touch my neck with hands. I m worried alot. Please help

Thanks for writing to us, we are here to help

Regarding your problem, smoking is not a good habit and you are too young to make it a hibit.
Please quit smoking.
The second part is cervical pain which definitely is not caused by smoking, you need to get a X-ray done at the first place and consult an orthopaedician for further treatment.

Meanwhile you can start calcium and vit d to help a bit, avoid painkillers. You can instead use tropical painkiller gels.
