What Causes Pain In The Lower Rib On The Left Side?
Pain located lower left rib area on back....worse when lying down on left side.....must sleep on back slightly raising head and shoulders...somewhat tender to touch..2 weeks in duration......no known injuries......but did cut down 6 trees 2 days prior to onset of pain

Your pain seems to be muscular skeletal taking into account your history of cutting down trees 2 days prior to onset. Maybe from the overuse of the arm and back.
Advise applying analgesic cream locally. Take oral pain killers you find over the counter. Massaging with essential oils can also help.
