What Causes Pain In The Lower Ribs After An Injury?
I work in a steel factory and picked up steel awkwardly and left anterior lower rib or muscle popped with 5-7- out of ten pain , hurts to laugh or breath at times with rest over the weekend diminished pain , but it s back again with no lifting of material, fracture? Pulled ?

It seems to be muscular strain pain...
For that take rest for few days
Ibuprofen 200 mg BD for five days
Warm compress over chest beneficial
Avoid strenous activities
Avoid bad sleep posture while sleeping
If improvement not seen than I will advise to investigate with x ray to rule out fracture rib
