Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I am having mid and lower abdomen pain. It is not due to needing to poop or menstrual cramps. I believe that it is due to stress, but I cannot change my stress and the pain is real. I am unable to get comfortable and I know that it is not appendicitis. I already take antidepressants and anti-anxiety medications. I don t know what to do. I am NOT drug seeking, my father is a doctor so I know all about this, what should I do?
As first-line management, you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief. Antacids like omeprazole or pantoprazole can also be taken. If symptoms persist better to consult a general surgeon and plan for an ultrasound scan.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
