Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am having pain that comes and goes. It feels like a knife going through me, right in the middle of my chest and from that point, around each side to my back. I have never had pain like this before. It hurts so much, I get a little dizzy and can t breathe as well as I should. This is the third day it has happened and it is getting worse. I just had one and this was the worst yet. Any ideas what it might be ?
Hi Welcome to the health care magic and thanks for asking your query here
The type of pain you are having can be suggestive of so many medical conditions and it needs thorough medical examination to make a diagnosis
Most commonly this can be caused by gastric problems invluding a gastro esophageal reflux disease and gastric or intestinal ulcers but if you have no gastric issues than your pain may also be related to a cardiac issue including angina ( if it relieves on rest and increase on exertion) , And other cardiac conditions Some times intercostal muscle spasm and lungs disorder and even gallbladder issues also may be responsible So it needs thorough medical checkup and investigations to rule out the exact diagnosis
You can take over the counter pain medications like ibuprofen to relieve pain but if your pain do not subside than I would strongly suggest you to visit your doctor to further evaluate the condition
Thanks and get well soon
