What Causes Pain In The Middle Toe Knuckle Of The Left Foot?

I have pain in my left foot- in the middle toe knuckle. It seems to get worse with inactivity. It was enough to wake me up. It is not noticed until I flex my foot and try to get up and walk. I noticed it yesterday morning and has gotten worse ever since. Any ideas?

Hi,
I have read your question and understand your concerns. Thank you for posting on HCM.
It seems like the problem you are describing requires further evaluation.
In some patients Uric acid levels increase that accumulate and cause Gout that may cause similar symptoms.
I suggest such patients to have their Uric Acid evaluated and prescribe them Anti inflammatory drugs such as Tab Diclofenac 50 mg twice daily for 7 days.
If Uric acid is above the normal limit then further medication may be required.
