What Causes Pain In The Navel While Suffering From Functional Abdominal Pain?

My 14 year old daughter has been diagnosed with functional abdominal pain. And is being treated with neurontin and omeprizol. In the last day she says she is having severe pain about 1/4 to the left of her belly button. We are trying to figure out what it could be. Gall bladder??

Hi welcome to the health care magic

Your daughter has been given treatment for functional bowel problem..

Here as her pain increasing it is better to do further work up with USG abdomen to treat any specific organic cause if present..

Complete course of given drug..

Consult physician for examination with your USG report and if needed empirical antibiotic might started

Avoid excess spicy foods and non veg

Fruits and green leafy vegetables taken more

Take care
