What Causes Pain In The Neck After Recovering From Shingles?

I have recently had shingles in my right shoulder the rash is now gone ad I had no pain during the period of the break out I had a round of the antiviral medicine now I have developed a very painful pain in my neck at the base of the skull. Can this be a result of the shingles.ive had it for two weeks now.

The pain at the base of the neck is not due to shingles. The pain of shingles subside doesn’t recur.
