What Causes Pain In The Pelvic Area After A Fall?

My 81 year old mother fell causing her to be sore for a few days. She then had a cardiac test on a hard table and her pain level went up drastically. Her primary care dr did an xray and saw only arthritis and put her on a steroid. The pain has not gotten any better. After a few days I took her to the ER and they did the same lower back/pelvic xray and an thoracic xray. She was told she was constipated and given a laxative. She has had a few very soft bm but is still in intense pain. I called her dr today and are waiting for a return call. My fear is she broke something in her pelvic area and laying on the hard table made it worse. Please advise on how you think we should proceed.

Hi,

As first-line management, you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.

If symptoms persist better to consult a physician and plan for an MRI scan to rule out soft tissue injury.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
