What Causes Pain In The Pelvic Area And Pressure In The Buttocks?

This morning I was helping my dog by lifting his hind end (he only has 1 leg in the rear) and pushing while he walked up the stairs. Their was a horrible snap in my pelvic area, followed by very sharp and immediate pain shooting across the pelvic area and down the groin area. That was at 6:30 this morning, it is now 4 and the pain is still present. Walking is extremely painful, especially when putting my weight on my left leg. There also seems to be a pressure like feeling in my buttocks.

Hi,

It is just a musculoskeletal pain, As a first line management, you can take analgesics like Aceclofenac or Tramadol for pain relief. Generally, the symptoms will settle by two to three days.

If symptoms persist better to consult an orthopedician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
