Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi I just have a question concerning my son. He is 6 years old. This morning he woke up having pain in his boy area. He said it hurts when he urinates. And even when he is not using the bathroom he says there is pain inside and that he is red around the outside. What can this be? And what should i do?
I think the child is having an urinary tract infection. You should do an uroculture to check the kind of bacteria which is causing it and the right antibiotics which work. You should wash him well and then take urine for laboratory.
Hope I have answered the question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Thank you.
