What Causes Pain In The Rib Cage?

I have been having some rib pain recently. When i was younger part of my rib and cartilage was taken out of one side to contruct an ear for myself. About 2 years ago i had an xray which showed how one side of my rib cage is dramatically more spread apart than the others. I am curious if differences in the rib cage could create any pain issues?

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hello,

It should not unless until there is some inflammation in it. If the pain doesn't go away you should consult a gp for the same.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Harshita, Ophthalmologist
