What Causes Pain In The Ribs While On Zerodol?

Hi Doc....my doctor has prescribed Zerodol for my symptom which is mainly pain in my chest (appears to be muscular pain) which could have been brought on by stress. If you press my chest and around the ribs, it pains a lot also if I extend my chest outwards. Is this drug suitable for this situation?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Zerodol is a drug that contains aceclofenac which is an NSAID and helps with pain and inflammation. So, it should work well with muscle-skeletal pain as it is the case with you.
I would say that you need to use it as recommended by your doctor and if possible take it after food to avoid stomach discomfort with its use (NSAID drugs are not friendly with the stomach). If you develop any stomach discomfort please let your doctor know.

I hope this answers your query.
I remain at your disposal for further medical assistance.

Regards,
