What Causes Pain In The Right Heel?

Have right Heel ache/pain along back (more toward inside bottom edge) when I walk. Started 3 months ago, blamed it on jumping at 3 day per week exercise class. Thought I brused heel...then thought Plantar Faciites...but pain isn t toward arch. Today notice 4 soft, pea size bumps under skin just above area of ache (well below ankle bone). Have photo. Any thoughts on diagnosis?

Hello,

It seems you have bursitis below the heel bone. Ultrasound examination will help in conclusion.

You can also go for serum 25(OH) Vit D and serum Calcium level since you have a painful heel for 3 months or so.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Tushar Kanti Biswas, Internal Medicine Specialist
