What Causes Pain In The Right Knee?

My right knee has been very painful for about 3 weeks now, I ve put it off as arthritis because I ve been told that s what I have. I have to keep it propped up with ice rotation when I get up its extremely painful then walking it gets a little better. I m not quite sure if I should go to the Dr or not.

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Possibility of arthritis is more.
But better to get it confirmed.
So consult orthopedic doctor and get done clinical examination of knee joint and x ray of knee joint.
If it is arthritis then calcium, vitamin D3 supplements will definitely help you.
Physiotherapy to strengthen muscles and ice pack application are also good.
If these conservative methods fail then you will need replacement surgery.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
