What Causes Pain In The Right Side Of The Abdomen?
Hi my name is Marcia, I m not sure what to do at this point. I went to my gastro doc for right sided abdominal pain 2 weeks ago. He sent me for a ct scan that didn t really show anything other than splenomegaly and hepatic steatosis. I already knew about that, it shows up every time I have a ct scan. Some times my liver is uncomfortable but not a big deal. My right sided pain is lower and tends to wrap around my back. No kidney stones this time. What concerned me is earlier was a sudden onset of weakness had to lay down and sleep for it to go away. Happened late in the day, by the time I woke and was able to drive myself anywhere the dr s office was closed. I work a 12 hr shift in an urgent care tomorrow and I m working the weekend so the next time I can call my dr s office would be monday.
That might be a pain caused by an abdominal infection like appendicitis and jejunitis. Take meftal spas and a mild antibiotic (oflox). Have a bland diet. Go for CBC and liver function test and urinalysis.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
