What Causes Pain In The Right Side Of The Abdomen?

I've been having pain in my right side - middle to low abdomen - which is most pronounced in the morning when I wake up. Today it was particulary painful and I could not get back to sleep. It is a constant ache not crampy. In the past it has disappated when I get up and start moving but today it is remaing.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
The site and nature of the pain on the right mid to lower of the abdomen and a constant dull ache and a previous history of pain is highly indicative of retro-cecal appendicitis.
Ultrasonography may help but the ultimate diagnosis can be confirmed by a CT scan.
Start on the antibiotic treatment and get operated if the diagnosis is confirmed to be appendicitis.
Do not take chances.
