What Causes Pain In The Right Side Of The Abdomen?
I've been having pain in my right side - middle to low abdomen - which is most pronounced in the morning when I wake up. Today it was particulary painful and I could not get back to sleep. It is a constant ache not crampy. In the past it has disappated when I get up and start moving but today it is remaing.
Hi. The site and nature of the pain on the right mid to lower of the abdomen and a constant dull ache and a previous history of pain is highly indicative of retro-cecal appendicitis. Ultrasonography may help but the ultimate diagnosis can be confirmed by a CT scan. Start on the antibiotic treatment and get operated if the diagnosis is confirmed to be appendicitis. Do not take chances.
