Hi,

This type of pain in the roof of the mouth while swallowing could be caused by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the following:
* Inflammation or infection in the mouth or throat
* Stomatitis (inflammation of the mouth)
* Canker sores (small, painful ulcers)
* Burns from hot food or drinks
* Allergic reactions to food or substances
* A sore or injury in the mouth

It is recommended to see a doctor or dentist to determine the underlying cause of the pain and to receive proper treatment.
