What Causes Pain In The Scalp?

My scalp has been hurting for at least the last month. Family hx of basal cell .ca, trichoepitheliomas and cylindromas. Many lumps on head with several that hurt. I have Diabetes, hypertension, depression Scalp pain is felt for many hours each day...feels like my scalp is stretched very tight
