What Causes Pain In The Scrotum?

I ve recently been having pain in my scrotum area . . . beneath, at the base and across the top at the base of my penis. I have noticed that it coincided with adding incline sit up to my exercise regiment. I feel I might have had to steep of an incline and perhaps strained a muscle, etc.

Hi, I'm doctor Anto.

Thank you for submitting your question to us.

Sometimes over-exercise or lack of warm up before the exercise could lead to some minor muscle injury that we called muscle spasm. In your case i believe it could be caused by the incline sit up. If its under 24 hours, i suggest you could take a rest from activities and start icing the area for awhile. If the pain didn't reside you could take painkiller OTC. However if it didn't reside at least for over 72 hours and you can't urinate within 24 hours please go see an urologist. Thank you.
