Hello, Thanks for the query.
In T2 DM when it is present for a long time (many years), that too if it is not well controlled then there can be multiple long term complications. One of the often seen complication is
frozen shoulder, which affects movement of affected shoulde and arm. It also causes
stiffness in arm muscles and movements become painful. Arm can not be lifted above shoulder level. This pain usually affects shoulder and arm.
Pain in the leg my be unconnected to affection of the arm.
Diabetes also affects blood supply to the lower limb. This can cause pain in the leg. So it may be necessary to check the vessels of the leg, by a color Doppler study.
But most important is to keep your blood
glucose in good control with fasting glucose Looking at your weight and height it is clear that you have grade 3 obesity with a BMI of 42.539 kgs/M2, which could be a major contributor to all the symptoms being complained. So please see that your diabetes is brought under good control, plus specific exercises are to be done to improve pains in upper arm and shoulder. ANd based on Doppler study the leg issue may have to be treated. Thanks.
