Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i have been having pain in my right shoulder for over a week on and off. My blood pressure is 141/74. I have been walking, but get pain in my lower legs, and am out of breath after walking up steps. Am I ok or at risk of having a heart attack or stroke?
How old are you? Pain in the shoulder could be as simple as a minor musculoskeletal trauma/spasm or a sign of an underlying abdominal condition.
However, given your history of dyspnea on exertion and pain in the lower limbs, I would advise you to get your lipid profile done and also an arterial Doppler study of bilateral legs.
The pain could be due to a condition known as peripheral vascular disease. The breathlessness has to be evaluated if it is of cardiac ot respiratory origin.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr ADNAN SAYEED, General & Family Physician
