What Causes Pain In The Shoulder, Knuckles, Knees And Ankles?

I have severe pain in my right shoulder which my doctor, without tests, has determined is tendinitis, but the pain remains extreme, and the arm muscles get so fatigued (and sore) that it affects my handwriting. Also, the knuckles in both hands have gotten very painful, and particularly in the morning, my knees and ankles (joints) are very painful, making walking difficult. What might be the trouble??

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi

Your symptoms are suggestive of generalised arthritis.Hence it is essential to rule out autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, bone disorders such as osteoporosis, vitamin d and calcium deficiency.

Complete blood hemogram including Erythrocyte sedimentation rate,RA factor,Serum uric acid, creatinine, vitamin d and bone mineral density should be taken for further assessment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards
