What Causes Pain In The Shoulders And Arms?

I have been to a doctor last week for shoulder pain. I was given pain meds and muscle relaxers. It has been over a week and now my arm is painful to move. the meds don t help and I can only take them once a day since I drive a school bus. Should I go and get rechecked? And what do I need to be concened about?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

If your shoulder is not grossly deformed there is no need to worry. Then pain may be there for sometimes may be a few weeks. You can apply hot compression and physiotherapy.

If you find any gross swelling or very severe pain, or you have temperature then you should talk to your doctor otherwise pain may be there for some time.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman,
