Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 12 year old son practicing football with pads this past Friday night, working on blocks, hit another player hard and his right shoulder started hurting, we have iced it and put heat on it he still has pain raising his arm straight up, there was no swelling, no popping sound no tingling sensation, would this be a bruised muscle?
Hello There I have read through your question and according to me your son has suffered soft tissue in injury. I would suggest you to keep on applying ice pack. Also give an anti inflammatory for eg aceclofenac. And tab chymoral forte for healthy of soft tissue injury. If his condition does not improve in one week I would advise you to get his CT scan done for further assessment. I hope that answers your question. If you have any further questions please feel free to write.
