Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Yes I have had a stabbing burning pain in the middle of the night in my solar plexus in the middle. It wakes me up and if I put hand pressure on it the pain subsides. It eventually goes away. I just ate dinner and it started again. I cant figure out why or what it is.
Hi Thanks for posting on HCM Solar plexus pain may be caused by many medical conditions. However, due to the complex anatomy of this plexus, it may be very difficult to diagnose specifically what might be pain.Possible causes may include: -Impact to the area/bruising -Nerve damage – potentially caused by injury or by vitamin deficiency -Pulled muscle -Stomach ulcers -Muscle spasm/cramp -Acid reflux/indigestion -Cancer (pancreatic or metastatic) -Chronic pancreatitis -Stress The treatment of this condition will largely depend on the cause.I will suggest you see your Doctor for examination and tests. You may take pain/anti-spasmodic drugs like spamo apotel for pains while your Doctor investigates. Hope this will help Best regards
